Empowered & Released ~ Angela Howard

In his book, The Alchemist, author Paulo Coelho says: “To realize one’s destiny is a person’s only real obligation.”

Do you believe that you are destine for greatness?

Romans 9:17 (NIV) says, “…I raised you up for this very purpose [EIS], that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” The Greek word for purpose is EIS. By definition it means: Towards. A marker of purpose. Moving forward towards a result or goal.

My passion and hope is that you would see and believe the truth about who you are and that God has marked you with a purpose to make a difference on this earth.

May God move upon your heart as you read this the story of Angela Howard, a woman who is empowered and released.

Angela Craig: How have you been empowered to walk out your calling?

Angela Howard: God began to stir my heart at a young age with a longing to help people, young and old alike, to be set free, and to understand God’s unshakeable love for them. I am confident that He gave me the specific gifts and strengths I would need to accomplish this call. I have also been empowered by a community of believers who have mentored me, walked beside me and given me opportunities to try and fail without condemnation. Lastly, I have been empowered by my own choice to walk through the doors that the Lord has opened for me. I am committed to being a lifelong learner and am simply willing to serve.

Angela Craig: How have you been released to practically live out your calling?

Angela Howard: I have served in almost every job description available in my local church. This experience helped me narrow my focus. I have discovered that ability doesn’t equate calling. I have been released to my calling more fully over the last 8 years as I began speaking for churches and retreats. I am now writing my own blog and guest posting for Joanna Weaver’s blog and the Her Voice blog. I also teach a local weekly Bible study. Next month I will be attending the Northwest Christian Writer’s Conference. I am jumping into a totally new realm but I am confident that the Lord is leading me.

To all of the women questioning whether you are empowered and released to walk out your calling: know that God has enabled you, their are many that are willing to partner to equip you, and you must commit to invest in yourself!
