Tell me…what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?

The Summer Day

Last week I received an email from Parker Palmer (Center for Courage and Renewal) with Mary Oliver’s poem, The Summer Day and the subject line, Your one wild and precious life…

It was a blog of reflection. The poem, written to challenge the reader to examine their life.

Today, is the perfect day to STOP. Step back from your to-do list and ask yourself what really matters.

Are the things on your calendar aligned with your values and goals?

Do they bring meaning and purpose to your life?

Does your daily activity encourage connection with others or are you waiting until retirement to build relationship with others?

You have one wild and precious life, what will you do with it?
